so youre ok with buying something that you have no idea what it is? what if he slaps in a stock GM cam from a Z06 and gets you a good tune. i'd demand to know the specs or go elsewhere.

thats just me tho.

That is a very very true statement. Or do it yourself and know what you got...

But congrats on the motor. What happened to the old one?

Whats a mistake? This is a brand new motor not a used one not a rebuilt one brand new from general motors. Go see if you can find a new motor for that price. I didnt want a used motor and a built shortblock would have cut into the top end money so i dont see a problem with it. Maybe some of you just need to stop being dicks.

x2 on the cam thing, i wouldent let somebody put in a mystery cam in my car. your paying for it so he better tell you. but thats just me im currently doing my cam swap in my driveway. also consider getting the pick up tube girdle that goes over the tube and uses the 2 bolts on the pump instead of 1 look --------> https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-produ...p-hotrods.html

Congrats on the motor!

I'd cam it before dropping it in, though. Just me.

congrats on the motor! excellent buy. i personally would agree with others that i would demand to know the cam specs, no matter how well i trust someone, just for my own reference and knowledge, i like to know every single little spec about my engine and modifications. Awsome buy !
