I can't stand the sound of that high pitch whine.... Sad thing is, when I get around to supercharging my z28...I'm just gona have to make sure i have dual electric cut outs and always run them open so I don't have to hear any supercharger whine...I hate that sound...YUCK.....the power is nice but geeze I wish it were quiet.

Oh the Cobra has one major flaw other then the whine...... The blue Oval....

As a straight trade, I say do it. The IRS is about the only down fall of those cars. Get rid of that stock S/C for a KB or a TT set up and you will be more then happy with that ford. It just seems so much easier to make hp with a LS car though.
Here is a local Mexico video. First race is a 03 vs a cammed Z

Just double checked, didn't know they were that much heavier than the GT new edge stangs; Cobra's are 3.6-3.7k

More like 400lbs more than a comparable F-body.

Still, the 2003-04 Cobras are the only Mustang I would own outside of another 5.0 Fox. If everything checks out, I'd probably do it...

if it is 3800lbs, thats not 400 pounds more than an fbody. Don't transams weigh in the range of 3500-3600, atleast they were last time I checked. Formulas around high/low 3400/3500s?

I believe I would hold off for a while. Nothing worse than insurance payments that are almost as high as your auto payments are gonna be. Especially with the holiday seasons coming up. In a couple of months you'll have some cash in hand from your tax return. Then you can cut a better deal.

^^ That vid is kinda meaningless as the Z is spraying 150.

My brother has a nitrous car....it's a BLAST. But only when you are spraying. The other 95% of the time its that much slower and not nearly as fun. Always having power > fast when spraying.

My Formula weighs 3400, and I think Camaros are usually lighter.

To the OP, I think it just depends on how attached to the TA you are. But 5 owners in 24k sounds sketchy.
