LS6 Intake FTMFW!!!

To be dead nuts honest the car isn't stock though... I would think any strong LS1 car could get similar numbers at Atco (with the DA they are known for having) with drag radials only. A great time with Drag Radials but 100% bone stock still belongs to Evan (I believe) with a 12.89 @ 108mph.

What do you mean by this?? The car is 100% stock, I lent him my 275/40r17 m/t drag radials and thats what the car ran... I have run a 12.47 with the same tires and I am a header car thats it.... Atco on a cold day and shifting the **** out of your car will do wonders for your et.

Well several things changed but considering we have a less agressive cam I would say that an LS6 intake with a more agressive cam should yield very similar results (maybe better). Pending you use the same dyno (not all dynos are the same as most of us know).

I mean by definition anything changed on the car (to boost performance) removes it from the 'stock' category. 100% stock = unmodified... drag radials give a major advantage and are considered a modification to the car. The rest of the car is untouched and that is fine... but you can't call the car stock when it's riding on drag radials IMHO without basterdizing the term 'stock'. It takes away from what people do with completely unmodified cars and opens the door for 'cheater mods', and 'small mods'... if drag radials are considered 'stock' you would have to allow a number of small mods that don't do nearly as much for you in the 1/4 as well.

I can only imagine how much of a difference in the 1/4 drag radials would have been for me over the 245/50 R16 RSAs that came on the car. A 1.8 or 1.9 60ft would have cut several tenths (dare I say half a second) off my time which I believe illustrates just how potent of a modification drag radials are.

I have seen this vid a few times & yes its a very impressive time for a stock car, even with the DRs. I always wondered what his 60' time was, I am not at all impressed if it ran a 1.9. I would think maybe a 1.7 to pull that good of a time. He must powershift the hell out of that car.

This is whats been said, but I have put many 1.8-1.9 60' passes on my 10 bolt on DRs. My 10 bolt isnt stock, just has 3.73s & new bearings but my motor isnt stock either so puttin more power to it as well. Some hold up for a while, some dont.

i sorry to be a doubting thomas, but your telling me STOCK, no air lid, no catback/exhaust, no tune, no improved suspension? was this an SS? w/ drag radials i could see 12.9 not 12.7. stock lid and muffler are very restrictive. oh well, cheers anyways.
