We usually dont see snow, but I wont even drive my car in the rain. I dont enjoy driving a V8 sports car in the rain snow or ice. I had a bad experience with a icy bridge in 05. My car is currently put up. I will still drive it on warm winter days here, but as long as there is no chance of rain.

This is my first year storing my car for the winter. Glad I did, it's not worth stressing if it's going to snow or not haha.

One more garage queen here. No winter or rainy driving.

Hell no! She likes the winter weather I however, do not. The only time I don't drive my car in winter is if there is actual snow/ice on the road.

Put it away a few weeks ago in November and the cover will come off so it can come out of storage once we get a nice rain or 2 to was all the salt off the roads. Some years I get it out towards the end of March and other years it's into April before it sees the road again.

its stored winters now to make it better for next year, before i bought it in april it set outside for a year and was dd its whole life before that. i like to think i did her a favor when i bought her. now it doesnt have to set out and be driven all year round. still no rust though.

I agree. It takes no time at all to trash an undercarrige with wet, salt covered roads. I wouldn't pull my '98 or '71 out in the snow even if it was the last running car I had. I'd walk first. One look under my '02 car is proof of what Chicago winters will do to a car.

What you need is the following:

- Spare set of 16x8 or 16x7.5" wheels.
- Set of Blizzak WS60 tires in a 225/55/16 size
- Two 50lb bags of gravel in the trunk

You'll never get stuck again. I was absolutely shocked at just how well my '02 car did for the one winter I drove it in with the above configuration.

Up here in the Great White North, your car needs to be safely stowed away from that corrosive road salt.

I can live with driving a **** box until the snow drifts melt in the spring.

We don't allow snow here in Socal ( except in the mountains, of course). All you guys with winter storage problems need to move out here. But come early - we do have a quota, you know.

Mine is a garage queen as well...even more so in the last couple of years as I have had it in various stages of H/C/I, Susp, Brake, etc modds. It didn't see rain or snow when I was driving it and it won't again next year when it's back on the road. But in Canada, there is no point in even trying to drive a car like this in the winter! Right now it is -32 F with a 20 mph wind....not fun

Store my camaro usually from my bday (Nov. 7th) until march, or whenever the snow breaks. Going on twelve years old with 107k and never seen a flake of snow or grain of salt.

think about how i feel. I'm in lake county indiana (northwestern most county in indiana) and thanks to chicago and all the damn truck traffic on I80 i get to deal with both the shitty weather AND the **** emissions tests.

This was my frist year storing my car but i'm glad I did the people around here don't know how to drive when snow hits the ground. And baldish tires plus torque aren't a very good combo for winter driving. I just wish March was here!

I don't think there is a force strong enough if this world to make me want to live in CA. Yea, we don't get to drive our fun cars here in the winter, but there is lots of other fun **** to do.

I have never stored my car, but it so far has been getting stored. I haven't had to drive it yet. Not sure how long that will last though. Like RPM said, extra set of rims with snow tires on and a bit of weight in the trunk and I trust my car more than I trust other people with 4x4s. I've never been stuck, and it has never left me stranded.
