right now I pay $100 per month for the camaro. full coverage. the vette would be $116 and im 21, almost 22
today I remembered a couple of things that are wrong with the camaro. the fuel pressure regulator is bad (I think). it has an extended crank issue when the car has been running for a while then shut off and started again. then it needs new O2 sensors. i was gonna wait till I put headers in to replace those.
idk I love both cars.
I drove the Vette on saturday. the roads were clear and it was sunny out, so I took it down the highway for a nice cruise. I behaved. it drove perfectly. nice and smooth cruising. the clutch grabs great, and it shifts smoother than most C5 and C6 vettes I have driven (which is around 100 of them)

There is a dealer by me that currently has a '99 FRC in Torch Red. 36k mile car. It was parked next to a black C6 when I saw it this weekend. My friend had to point it out to me. I didn't even notice it sitting there since a C5 just disappears in my eyes next to a C6. The '97-'99 wagon wheels don't help the car any, worst wheel ever for a C5 IMO.

My cousin got a FRC, its a whole different feel from the Fbody. If i were you with your Z, i'll trade for that in a heart beat. especially with payment being around the same.
I want to find a blown engine/high mileage FRC vette myself.
$116 a month? what is this a 7 year loan or something? Or is it really that cheap?

^ actually, they do make a decent looking truck wheel.
On a C5 though? =

if you already didnt have the camaro, i would say pick up that vette asap. but in reality, the vette doesnt offer that much more than the z28. its still the same engine.
the only thing you upgrading to IMO is lower miles and an m6 at the cost of another year or 2 of payments. IMO, either wait for a c6 or c5z06...the upgrade to a 99 FRC wouldnt cut it from me

I have always had both for more than 3 years but I'm going to be without a F-Body until summer. I really love my vette to death and I think you will be slightly happier with the Vette. Make sure to shop around though. There are many FRCs and other C5s out there at killer prices. That C5 you want looks nice but Pewter is the best color Mine is below! Good Luck

Even though I've owned two Pewter F-bodies, and still have one, I'm not a huge fan of the color. Only reason I like it is for DD purposes, it never shows much dirt unless it gets REALLY dirty. I doubt I'd buy another in this color though.

well I made up my mind and said no to the vette. I got to drive my car for the first time in 3 months. as I was driving it to the dealer to see what they would give me for it, I forgot how much fun it was to drive. built auto with a stall FTW. the vette doesnt squat nearly as hard as the camaro does.
I love the raw muscle car feel of the camaro over the vette. I would miss the T-tops too.
