Well if you seen my other thread you know i went to test drive a trans am for sale last night. Well i bought it. I was kinda wanting the 6speed really just got tired of searching and finding ones that had to many problems and to far away. When i seen this one right in the town i live and seen how nice the interior was for 4000 bucks i figured it must not run good but it runs great. I still have my 93 5.0 gt conv. but this ls1 will blow by my 5.0 like nothing. I was amazed at how easy it was to just destroy the tires in a cloud of smoke. IT HAS BEEN A FUN DAY OF CRUISING. I drove it about 100 miles today, and im loving it. It has all new alpine speakers and the stereo sounds great too. Now i just gotta start fixing it up how i want it, i plan on keeping it so i have plenty of time. Check it out, what do you think of my cheap trans am? http://s949.photobucket.com/albums/a...5495242602.jpg

It has almost 140k miles. It seems to run good tho, i'll probably only drive it 3 or 4 thousand a year at the most. So hopefully it'll last a few years, and whatever breaks will just be my excuse to fix it up better. Hopefully within a few years i can get a more well built tranny with a stall, and maybe a rebuild on the engine and pump out some more hp's. With this many miles i dint plan on doing to much to it. Im gonna fix the body perect first(that bra is there for a reason-has a crack in the bumper). BTW one of my pulleys squels sometimes but i see thats a common prob-guess thats the first thing im doin...

+1 on removal of the bra, id rather see duct tape.......and get the window tint redone on the rear window it looks like a walmart special do it yourself job. maybe its just me but 4k seems like its not such a great deal since its a high mileage auto with a cracked front bumper, 140k miles, dent in the back driver quarter etc. if your happy thats all that matters but i wouldnt really call it a deal.
