Question Moisture Under Oil Cap?

So I just purchased my first LS1 about three weeks ago and found something that seems to concern me. I changed the oil and found a good amount of moisture had collected on the bottom side of the oil cap. I cleaned it off and checked it again after about ten-fifteen minutes of running...moisture had started to build up again...not coolant, just water, and not a lot, just enough to worry me. Now, when I bought the car I changed the plugs, oil, pcv valve, fuel filter, cleaned and oiled the K&N it already had, flushed the radiator (which I checked for blow by or bubbles from maybe a head gasket which seems okay) and installed a SLP lid. Is this normal for these engines or should I be concerned. Aside from this the motor has no leaks or other issues. Runs strong. Thanks for any help guys.

its fairly common, mostly happens when you have short run times or short trips, if the motor gets hot and runs long enough the pcv system and heat should boil it all out. i wouldnt worry about it really.

Happened to me and I freaked out too, but the condensation on mine was yellow. Scared the hell outta me. Turns out, it's normal.

All good brother! At work we see 50-100 cars a day thru the exp lube and quite a few of them have the mositure under the hood...
I pulled my valve covers the other day to adjust the RR's and it had some in there as well..

You may have a 160* T-stat and your oil is not getting hot enough to boil the water out.

Drive/run your car for longer when you start the motor. This issue will then go away.
