I just took out my 99 SS since it has been in storage and drove it around and noticed when I remove my foot off the throttle at around 40 mph the car does not slow down so I put the car in nuetral its a automatic and rpm is around 1900 rpm. When I stop at at a light or stop sign the car is at idle around 700 rpm which is normal. What sensor or part could it be? has anyone experienced this before?? I'm thinking IAC sensor but I don't want to buy it and it not fix problem. The car is bonestock except for a lid and k&n. any input would will be helpful thanks in advance.

Sure you weren't driving the Toyota today?![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
Anyways, I wouldn't buy a new IAC, I would first try cleaning yours. Also, if the TPS sensor isn't showing closed throttle, the computer will command the IAC to open further, so that it is ready for a sudden closing of the throttle. So, if you have access to a scanner, you should check that the TPS is 0% when at closed throttle, if not you will need to repair that problem/circut first.

Glad you got it taken care of!
I think Toyota should just install manual cam throttle bodies, and call it a day. The only vehicle that might pose a problem for the dern Prius...eh don't need it anyways.
