They don't charge you per mile if you return it to the same place. They have no way of knowing if you towed it to cali and back. You just get charged per day

yeah I would return it to the same place. They wouldn't know how far I pulled it...I am going to lie to them anyways and tell that I am pulling a 91 civic hatch-back...those are pretty light I think.

I just checked and if you were to pick up the trailer in VA and drop the trailer off in AL. It costs $472 and the dolly was $200+. If the charge per day then that will be a 2 day trip at $55 per day thats $110 a WAAAYYYY better deal. Only thing is towing an empty trailer that far is gonna suck.

thanks for all the info. I am definatley going to opt for the full trailer...it has 315 tires on the back is that too wide? I am also going to lie and tell them I am pulling a 91 CRX or something like that.

You should be good with the 315's. BTW once your on the trailer you won't be able to open the door Go out through the hatch unless you wanna leave the window open the whole trip. Also they won't give you any flack for a 1500 towing a Camaro. I was able to tow my 95 Z28 I had with my friends 98 Ram 1500.

I toed my stock height 98 TA with a 01 GMC 1500 ext cab 4x4 and the uhaul flatbed. I had to tell them I was toeing a GEO, because the TA was too heavy according to their computer. (yes, I changed what I was toeing as I talked to the guy ). But yeah, you can't open the door much when you're on the trailer...I'm a skinny ****, so I could get out, but it was tight. Also, yeah, I had to back up to a driveway so that I could get the car onto the trailer, otherwise the front end hit.

tecmec. That's weird their computer said you were too heavy. I have a 99 Z-71 EC and they said I was fine to tow. My truck is rated to like 9500#. I did have to go and buy a higher rated receiver and ball so the OP may want to look into that because they wouldn't let me hookup and leave until I did. I wouldn't tell them you have a GEO either because if you have an accident you screwed insurance wise.

Lastly make DAMN SURE the harnesses that fit over the front tires on tight and check them frequently! Mine had loosened up after about 50 miles when I checked and one was about totally off. The car will bounce around more than you think.

Disconnect the Driveshaft from the Yoke and Bungee-cord it up under the car, you will be suprised how much that will tear up a T56 if you tow it with the DS in.

SOMbitch, yeah, it was weird. Their website told be it would work, but the place i picked up up from said their computer said no. Regarding insurance though, I was fine. I had the car insured all by itself as well.

This fenders unhook and pivot out of the way. The door should open then. Notice the little bungee things on the rear of the fender at the inside and the hinges on the outside at the rear of the fender.

And towed is TOWED. Toed is something you did with your toe.

yeah, the left fender folds all the way down so you can open the door. i towed my camaro on a full u-haul trailer from north carolina to new york behind a u-haul truck. about 775 miles. i put blocks of wood on the end of the trailer to drive my car up without hitting the front bumper.

Towing is easy I towed a 88 Camaro with a 93 Astro (4.3L). . .Bettendorf Iowa to Bremerton Washington. FYI, Uhaul doesn't like to hear Camaros being towed, so the Civic idea is good. Just last year I had to tow a. . . . a 'Sunfire' from Houston to San Antonio

Thanks again. I already planned to bring blocks of 4x4 wood to drive in onto the trailer. Are the straps included or do I need to bring my own?

I would imagine that they include straps. Most of the front ones are premenatley (sp?)mounted to the trailer and the go around the tires.
