Can I tow a F-Body!!!
My brother just sold his 95 T/A to step into the LS1 world FINALLY We are going in 2 weeks to pick it up. The car has 4:10's in the rear and he doesn't want to drive it all the way back on the interstate. He thought a U-haul car carrier towed behind something may work. Got to thinking about it and will a F-body front bumper drag the ground or the rear bumper. I do not know if the car is at stock height or not but it does have aftermarket shocks/springs or both all the way around. Thanks Guys.

Is it an auto or 6 speed? Honestly you are probably better off just driving it IMO. However, I bought my TA in Virginia and towed it all the way back to Michigan (about 700 miles) with no issues and I used a tow dolly and pulled it with my half ton Sierra. As long as it is stock height you should have no issue with it. Or you could rent an actual car trailer from U-Haul as long as you have a big enough vehicle towing it. How far of a drive are we talking?

u haul has a flatbed trailer u can rent to haul the car on. i used one to haul home my second fbody, it was a second gen tho. i have also used a dolly to pull a second gen and didnt have any scrapping. i think the nose of a second gen is longer than the fourth gens. i would probably reccommend the flatbed trailer w/ a good sized truck to handle the weight. its not the ability to get the load moving, its stopping it.

I do not know the miles its gonna travel on a trailer/dolly. It is an 11 hour drive though. Me or my brother haven't checked on the price to rent a u-haul trailer or dolly but the trailer seems ideal. The truck that will be towing it is a 04 GMC 1500 ext. cab. 5.3L v8 I think that that truck can handle it. Thanks for the input guys.

Since it's a six-speed I would just drive the thing. Cruising in 6th isn't bad at all with 4.10's. But if your dead set on towing it that truck won't have any issues, I would definately get a full trailer though.

Uhaul will say different I am pretty sure. They go by the trailer plus the car weight vs the truck weight. If the combo weights the same or more than the truck they will tell you to beat it. The trailer is under a hundred a day I believe. either way I would put money on the car bottoming out going on and off the trailer. Where you load will help, aka the grade of the ground and so on. You may need some long boards to get it on, or load it off a curb or something. Just make sure you brace under the boards if you use them. You don't want them to snap half way up and lose a bumper! Best of luck!

I just checked u-haul rates for towing trailers/dollys and the dolly was 44.95 and the trailer was 54.95 so that aint bad at all and its totally worth it to get the trailer.
Dang you beat me to it LOL
I really think we can manage the bumper not scraping on/off the trailer some 4x4 boards should take care of that.

Haha, Damn I've towed my Camaro with my Dodge Cummins about 4 times. I don't know though the Cummins can pull it up some nice hills at around 85-88mph (top speed with 4:11's haha) also pulled a couple Chevy trucks at the same speed on an pretty empty highway of course.. All while pulling 16-17mpg If only the body would last around the F*cking motor!!!

Must weigh at least 3,500 lbs. (curb weight), and must equal or exceed 80% of the combined weight of the trailer (2,210 lbs.) and the vehicle being towed (up to 5,290 lbs.).
So figure it out and lie and tell them ur towing a smart car if you have to
