high reving ls1?

anything that gets colder, denser air into an engine is helpful. speed has nothing to do with it. even if the system isn't sealed, the air that comes in through the grille is definately colder than what the airbox in the engine compartment would get. worth 20hp like GM claimed? Nope. somewhat useful? sure. worthless, I disagree.

ARP vs. Katech?
I'll def be throwing in a set of rod bolts when I do my head/cam/converter swap next month. While I wanted to Katech rod bolts, as I heard they don't require the rods to be re-size/rehoned due to their similar size/weight when compared to stock rod bolts. Unfortunately, they seem to be on back order for at least a couple months.
I'm curious if anyone out there recommends the ARP High-Performance rod bolt set (not the Pro Series), and if these could be installed without having to have the bottom end resize/rehoned to account for any clearance changes (even if the bolts were changed one at a time to limit movement)?

im not incorrect. stock **** does not like anything over 6200 rpms. the valves will float and pushrods will bend. simple as that. anyone who tries to crank it up is asking for a new shortblock. you show me someone who is running an aftermarket cam that revs their stock pushrods and springs to 6500 + and ill show you an idiot who is living on some seriously borrowed time.

There are some guys on LS1.com that argue stockers are better because when you have PTV contact the PR bends instead of the valve
This was a while back.. I tried to explain that under greater lift and the higher spring pressures required by bigger cams the stockers flexed and caused valvetrain instability but several guys dissed me and acted like I was a total dumbass I may be a D.A. but not because I think you need hardened PR's with a big cam
