high reving ls1?
ok so this import dude i kno seems to think that a ls1 cant rev past 6k which i kno for a fact is wrong bc i have done it!
but my ?? is what is the highest a stock internals ls1 has reved to???

lol yeah the EVAP broke, those pics were taken before the new one came in. And no I did not have to machine anything to get the dual springs to fit. Only thing I had to do was buy a special tool from Thunder Racing to compress the springs so I can get them locked on.

the rod bolts in these stock motors need to be changed if your going to be reving over 6200 because they arent the best but lots of people rev 62-6800 with cam and stock bottom end. arp or katech rodbolts will save you its cheap insurence when you rev higher than stock

Well, against the advice of Ron @ Vengeance, I turned my 2000 stock bottom end motor 7200 RPM pretty much every time it started. To it's credit it did make around a hundred passes at the track before a rod bolt let go destroying everything. I've got another stock motor going in the car now but you can bet your bottom dollar some aftermarket rod bolts are going in before we ever install it. I was warned by Ron that above 6500 was pushing my luck on the pre '01 engines. I'm hard headed so I learned the hard way.
