My Craigslist find
So a few months ago I found a brand new LS6 intake for $300. I passed up on it becasue I was unemployeed and and needed the money. I've been pissed at myself ever since for not buying it.
Today, I found an LS6 intake on Craigslist for $200 picked up. Guy said he hadn't had it very long. Then he tells me it comes with a ported stock throttle body. I jumped at the offer and picked it up tonight. I already have a FAST TB, so I'm hoping I can sell the stocker for $40-50 and end up getting the manifold for around $150-200. Anyway, just wanted tos hare my good fortune with everyone!
And I also have a question, I know I need to grind the ribs off the bottom to fit it over the coolant lines, but there's two foam pads on there too. Do I need to rip these off first or does that area not need to grinded? Will it hurt anything if I pull them off and don't replace them?

You'll want to tear the foam pads off, because I'm pretty sure there are fins to be removed under them.
I purchased new intake gaskets from Advance Auto for like $20 when I installed mine. Along with the gaskets, two new foam pads (with sticky backing) were included.
Here's a link to a post showing which fins need removed.

Good luck, man.
