My stock 1LE handles very well for an almost 10 year old car. But like it's been said. It can be made to handle better.

Well most F - Bodies are old now so they arn't going to handle like any new car. If its a car close to 100k then your going to feel that little sway in the rear that tells you the shocks are going bad. Other than that they handle just fine !

Good compared to what?

They handle great compared to the average car. But compared to a Z06 they handle like poop.

I think they handle decent for stock and very well for modded.

-Koni shocks/struts
-Springs
-Sway Bars
-Lower Control Arms
-Sub Frame Connectors
-Panhard Bar or Watts Link
-A good set of tires

makes for a very nice handling car.

Personally I think handling SUCKS on a stock car. To the point of being dangerous for a car this fast that handles so bad. Koni SA's, Strano bars & springs is a night and day difference and you would never dream you are in the same car.... A Watts link would be my next mod except my current savings are going toward a LS2 402 and the new dirt bike I want...... Not enough $$$ and too many toys.....

They handle OK for a sporty car stock, but some real struts and an alignment will make a ton of difference...

I think some people buy these cars thinking they will handle like a Corvette, because they can accelerate like a Corvette - and that misconception leads to disappointment.

for what its worth, my 00 Camaro SS with stock everything for suspension handles better than my 07 Mustang GT did with sway bars and 265s in the front and 285s out back with goodyear eagle f1s

I dont beleive that either.. but as far as feel goes.. the newer mustang rides a little higher than our fbodies ever did.. So he could be experiencing more of a body roll sensation.

But my car handles like its on rails.. lol koni/ground control/strano/maier/CCW/kumho. FTW..

I agree. I've even heard it mentioned on here before somewhere that when my car model was at proving grounds (supposedly) it beat the current model year corvette in the road course by 1 full second. Same driver etc. But again, just something I read on here by someone who claimed to have been on the grounds that day. Apparently everyone was told that info was to never leave the grounds because there would be a lot of pissed off Corvette owners. Sounded like a good story anyway! LOL

You know I just realized the OP has over 752 posts. So they must already know the answer to this ???

Any and every car has its pro's and con's. My TA when I got it had just over 70k on it and it was still good. I have upgraded since then and now it is amazing! Well...except the worn rod ends....

I just have Koni's on my Formula right now, and it really makes it handle quite well with just a shock change. Even with 84k on the stock shocks I didn't think it handled that badly, but the Koni's are awsome
