thats not bad then ad about 3k more for heads and intake i would assume

I spent 12K on mine. 3K for heads, plus intake, injectors, throttle body, wiring harness conversion, new fuel rail, new timing chain, gaskets, and all that stuff, etc.

Go for the 408 if you have the money. That will give you room to grow.

Here's some pricing to some different cube short and long-blocks. The big cost difference in a 346 short-block and a 408 short-block is the crank itself.
