can you buy cars off insurance companies?
hey guys i was looking into buying a 99 formula thats an A4, the deal is right and it seems like its gonna need some work. plans are to pull the motor and tranny and swap to an M6 and depending on the compression in the motor either rebuild it or swap in a fresh motor. so my question is can i buy a real cheap totaled out camaro/firebird/GTO off an insurance company and just use that as my donor car? if so how would that work? how would i track a car down?
any help would be great, thanks.

ridesafely dot com has a weird process but it is legit. Anyone can do it. You don't have to pay a membership fee or anything. I had a buddy at work that bought a car from there. Shipping is relatively inexpensive also. You can't check the car out at all however, but it will say if the car runs and drives, etc.
