Bad News for my TBSS

Bad News for my TBSS
In December of 2009 i bought a 2006 TBSS with 50kmi for a great price. The car is loaded with AWD. Amazing drive.
I have been having this problem with the stability control turning on and from that the brakes turn also, sometimes locking up. Dealership tried fixing it a few times and they could not see what was wrong. Finally i had enough and they took my car back minus the miles i drove on it. They took $0.21 every mile i drove it off the price i bought it for.
Very upset that i no longer have the car. It was the best SUVett i have owned. I would recommend TBSS to anyone. From my understanding this is the second time GM has heard about this problem with the TBSS's.
I asked the dealership what would happen to my car and they told me GM would not bother trying to fix it and they would crush it.
Ohh well i guess. Just though i should share this story. It was an awesome car, currently trying to look for a dealer owned TBSS also.

Not exactly sure what your issues were but there has been several of us have something that may be similar happen. Last winter I was at a red light stopped and tried to take of as normal but the truck just revved like I was power braking but it would not move one bit. Tried switching gears, made sure the e-brake was down, etc. started to panic because traffic had to go around me. I thought for sure my trans was done for but then I remembered a thread from the tbssowners web site. Turned the ignition off, started it back up and everything was completely back to normal. This has happened to several people on that site just glad I wasn't going over some train tracks or on the interstate when it happened.

The dealer won't crush it unless they are idiots. They may sell it to a parts reseller who will part it out if it's really not worth fixing. Scrap value is nothing. Learned that when the gov't did the damn CARS program and I had to scrap the 19 or so we took in, but for that program we were forced to sieze the motor and scrap it. My sis traded in her (formerly mine) 92 Yukon with 250k miles on it and no probs other than a wiper motor rebuild and burned no oil, that hurt.

I had the worlds worst TBSS. Bought it GM Certified Used in 10/09, sold it in 4/10. First weekend I had it, the bearings went in the engine. It was CONSTANTLY in service. It had a wind noise that they couldn't hear. I would pick it up from service, drive it around the block and drop it back off. What a complete pile of ****.
