Btw. The fit and finish on the interior of my SS is MUCH better than the fit and finish on my dads 02 corvette. None of the dash panels fit exactly right on his. The radio surround has had a gap between it and the dash since he bought it.

I didn't buy an fbody thinking it was reliable. I bought it for its style and cheap power.

Any if they are so "cheap" why did you keep buying them? Ask yourself that one and then get back to us. Till then

I love my f-bodys. The 6 banger has been beat on daily and has gone through 4 Maine winters. I go WOT constantly and I power slide it atleast once every time I drive it. 121k miles later and I'm still running stock everything except - rear axle that blew when a u-joint let go deaccelerating on the highway (Gears weren't even whining prior. I kind of wish I broke it doing something cool like a burnout), 1 headlight motor, alt., tensioner pulley, brake pads/rotors, and a battery.

These mods have been replaced or added - STB, front/rear sway bars, full exhaust, k&n.

She still has a mint interior and runs smooth as hell. I dont' know any other car that can take this kind of abuse and require such limited attention.

I'm an old school guy, and my biggest beef with my TA is that everything you touch is made of plastic and breaks very easily. Never had this problem with the 72 Cutlass.

But I can live with all that because the car is affordable and it's a blast to drive.

I don't think the interior is that bad. Sure there are a couple gaps here and there but nothing awful. I like it overall, actually. Planning on upgrades for it but the overall design is pretty decent. Now mine, like others, has some squeaks and rattles but it also has 150k on it.

Hmmmm. . . GM quality. . . they really seemed to have changed with the "New" Camaro.

But, our's is special. . . .

Engine - great

Interior looks like it came out of my 76

Trany is half decent

Electronics < I don't even wanna start

10 Bolt - Really? A 10 Bolt for a 300 horse stock car. . . Yeah

Frame, as solid as 76'
