Default cutting lower intake on an SS?

not sure if this is the right section but im wondering since the SS has a "ram air" style lower intake, is it worth cutting the lower portion on the radiator support to open it up more?

theres a FRA mod where you cut open under where your airbox is. i have an unpopular SLP CAI that takes in air from in front of your radiator.

Well if you buy the SLP cold air kit, or the FTRA. Your going to have to do that free mod anyways, so why not just do it. Unless you go with the Volant or K&N CAI systems.

Im sure it helps some, i did it to mine and then i installed the FTRA a few weeks later. I didnt notice a difference but im sure your getting some hp out of it at higher speeds.
