missing muffler...

Default missing muffler...

well see i was going to put my longtubes on yesterday and got out to the shop and it it ended up taking me all day to put stall and intake on.. well my muffler came off on the way to the shop so i jus left it.. will it hurt my performance racing somebody misssing a muffler.. car still has cats on it.. any help would be greatly appriecated...

it was held on by a clamp and hung by a clothes hanger... so when it came off i figured hell im putting headers on today anyway so i left.. think it will affect the cars performance?

It should increase a little. I run all my cars like that because I love the sound and I am a cheap ***.

lol a clothes hanger? i was about to ask if it ever loosened up on you. guess it did.

i don't think it should effect performance too much, atleast negatively.

Who cares? The only thing an aftermarket muffler does it decrease sound and improve flow OVER a stock muffler. Performance wise, a cut out is IMO the best option.

It wont hurt performance, but If it was my car I would not be driving around let alone racing the car with mufflers "hanging" off the car not properly attached. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

well see i bought the car with the muffler hanging like that.. only had the car for a week.. lol.. i would do it myself

Hey if you are okay with it, who cares.


It will be just fine. . . I have driven plenty of cars with only about 3' of exhaust pipe from the manifold. . .
