Delete steering column lock or not??
I found an alarm that's exactly like the keyless system in the corvettes.
The doors unlock/lock depending on if the fob is 3 feet away from the car.
Once inside, driver can press the break and use the push button start to turn the car on or off.
Only catch is I 'd have to get rid of my steering column lock (no ignition key).
How safe are our fbodies without the column lock? Or Is this a bad idea, Period?
Thanks

It sucks but my mentality is that if someone wants to steal your car bad enough they are going to do it. All you can do is make it difficult for them.
If you like the alarm I would go for it, but I would personally add a kill switch hidden somewhere so that if someone were to try and steal it and hotwire it they would not get power.
