Default 4th Gen. as a road course track car?

Do you think, in your honest opinion, 4th gen f-body makes for a good cornering car?

One day, I'll buy a C6Z to tackle corners, but until that day comes, I was wondering how good is 4th gen f-bods in hugging twisties.

Thanks.

Well, maybe not the best stock but take a look at some of Sam Strano's accomplishments.

They can be very formidable.

Also for the record with just subframe connectors and a panhard bar I was usually good for consistent 1-5 finishes locally in my class of about 20-25 cars.

They can certainly hold their own.

With the right mods they are quite competitive...
As you can see from this article, it doesn't take much.

You're joking right?

Anyway, I am planning to get koni's 4/4, strano springs, already have BMR SFC (waiting to be installed), umi phb and lca package, and already have BMR STB (installed).

I think my vert will handle pretty good after all that.

There is 2 ls1 camaros that I autox with and one is also a roadracer. A t56 sure makes for a better experience. All he has is R compound tires, 4.10's and a better clutch.

Well that would be a little difficult in the situation of a FWD car.

if you want a dedicated track car, small and light is the correct answer. Think Miata.

If you're like me and want to do a track day three times a year in your daily driver, whatever. It's fine. You can track just about anything.
