since you will have a DD, i would keep your SS and throw bigger cubes and boost it. That would probably be the cheapest route, because your not buying a more expensive car, and a car that might need some maintenance. keep your SS!

Get the C6Z and you will have a bone stock car thats faster than most heads cam camaros handles better than stock and modded cars and look good doing it. Or you can go the route I did and get a C5Z

The only thing that is making me consider other than the Z06 is the fact that i will have a car payment again. I hate having a car payment. LOL especially one that i cant pay off early. my paymets will be $950-1200 a month for 3 years depending how much i put down if any at all

If the Chevelle has a 12 bolt, then your set. Throw whatever you want at it.
Basically it comes down to...
-Do you want a newer car thats badass stock and have a car payment
-Keep having no car payment and build up 2 cars to whatever you want

If it was an original BBC car (and still had the original rear), it'd be a 12-bolt.
If not, I'd likely expect to see a 10-bolt. Either way, it's beefier than a modern 7.5" F-body 10-bolt, and it'll potentially take more abuse. I say potentially because, you're talking about a 40+ year old car, so there is no telling what sort of condition the drivetrain will be in and/or how long ago certain parts were rebuild (if ever).
