Go for the 6 mil poly plastic from the depot its thicker and more durable, i double do it. I have 3 of 4x8 sheets of plywood running the length of the car. Im figuring the WOOD will absorb the moisture before it reaches the car. Then the carpet(old large front door mats), had em lying around my parents' basement. there is a lot of moisture when everything thaws, even with all this the rims can have a slight dew on them on SOME march/april mornings....freeze drying it in a huge ziplock bag is the next step

I stored my SS about two weeks ago, but didn't think twice about carpet or tarps in a heated garage. That's not to say it's a bad idea.

I put some fuel stabilizer in a near-empty tank, filled the tank to the max, inflated all tires to slightly above recommended PSI, washed the car, changed the oil, pulled her into the garage, put the trickle charger onto the battery, threw the car cover on, and finally I ran an extension cord under the car and put one of those super-sonic sound emitters that deters mice and other rodents. I think I'm set.

I'll go and buy some plastic sheets somewhere. I'm hoping the stuff I saw at home depot was the correct stuff.

They mentioned that you can get the large desiccate bags and put them in your trunk and seat areas to help kill the moisture.
