Y'all.....the hell is winter?

(Gotta love Texas!)

But I agree, it would be nice to give my car a break for repair/mods. Instead she does DD duty year round lol

Damn it's nice to be from California. Never realized how spoiled we are.

I would hate to live somewhere without 4 seasons and miss out on snow. You have no idea. How fun being drug on a tube is on fresh snow by a truck at 60mph.

Eeehhhh... Its overrated..

Try this.. Put your car away until March (if you have another DD), and then always keep the air conditioner blasting with the windows up.. And then stand in a grocery store freezer for a good half hour, and report back.

I know, Im from up north, I just miss the winter........I thought I would never say that! But I guess being in the south to long will do that to you. I guess I could go visit, and then come home to the harsh FL winter.

Oh, Gotcha! You're crazy. I cant wait to get out of this weather. I'm already going nuts without my car. Feels like its been forever, even though its only been like less than a week!

That's the only benefit I can think of to Wichita being flat. If there were hills here my car couldn't do it. As it is, it doesn't snow here all that much, so I can get by. I bolt on the Blizzaks when I need to ... probably a total of three weeks out of the year.

Hey man you've got a point. I was born in New York, lived in Pennsylvania and few things in my life compare to the thrill of waking up in the morning and seeing everything covered in white-it's so goddamn beautiful you have to be there to understand it. Taking walks down east coast style streets with the trees and their leaves changing color, your girl by your side, the air cool and perfect....f**k man, I do miss the east coast. But I'm getting older, and my cars and I can't deal with snow. I dunno, I guess living on the west coast has made me queer or something...

I've been there, my entire life, and I still don't understand it. I see no beauty nor take any pleasure in the snow or freezing temps. It blows, literally. I would not miss a second of it, because I hate it so deeply.

On the other hand, I agree about the fall (changing leaves and cool, crisp air). Fall is truly beautiful, and the drier air is a welcome change from the humidity of the summer. If I could find a way to skip from fall directly to spring, I'd be a happy Great Lakes region resident.

I'm still hopeful for a random 60 degree December day so I can get one more ride in on the jigster before the salt hits the roads!

Yeah, I wouldn't want to deal with CA style testing.

Here in IL, with proper tuning, you can roll through a test center with a camming, stinking, catless car that is totally without any emissions components and still pass within 30 seconds. OBD scan-only is great.

I got the T/A out for one last ride before it finally dipped into the 40s/50s here. Now it's gonna sit. I can't wait til I get the damn thing paid off so I don't have to keep full coverage on a car I only put 1500 miles on a year.

Same here. I just bought it and I'm gonna drive it until the salt monster comes out. Cold = no problem...snow = salt = problem.

At least I can run my LS1 through a car wash real quick if necessary, unlike my old LT1, ha ha. (Opti + Car Wash = )
