Found a good deal on a SS! Come in!!
For those of you who may be interested, I found a little hidden gem on Autotrader today. I havent seen the car up close, since its about 350 miles away from me, but its priced very low.
The dealership doesnt know what he has, and he's advertising the car as a Z28, when it is a real SS. Its car #41.

Just thought I'd share. I would have been ALL OVER this if I were looking for another F-body... Hell, if its still there next week, I might just drive down, buy it, and turn around and sell it for some more money.

Yeah the dealer is a bit clueless. The wrong features are listed (16x8" wheels, 2.73 gears). That's all the standard stuff for a Z28, not an SS.
Oh, and the exhaust is correct for a '98. As the guys' posted above, that was the '98 system for SS/WS6.
If it was close to me I'd check it out today. Being an auto makes it very desireable to me, it's getting pretty hard to file low(er) mileage autos.

From what I have read the did the single on the left to beat the noise sensor when getting the cars DOT approved because the sensor was on the right side of the car, but they got caught and had to tone it down for 99+. That is what I read about the SLP 2 on the left exhaust and I could see the same idea being applied to the single on the left on the 98 cars.

I agree with you guys on the principle that the single outlet exhaust doesn't exactly look right, but I gotta say, if you've ever heard one you'll note that it sounds significantly better than the '99+ base SS/WS6 system.

From GM maybe but not once they went to SLP. Mine got fitted with a dual/dual system in '98 with dual exit. So, they must have come with 1OTL if they didn't have an exhaust option.
Edit: wonder what they're asking for the 35th ANN. That's in the 2nd picture.

That 1otl and the 2otl are the best free flowing exhausts from slp. They may look like crap but sound great, I have a 2otl, wish I could find a 1otl for sale. Pretty good deal for a stock SS.

The 2OTL is the one from SLP, but was no longer an option on brand new SSs by '98 (they could only be bought aftermarket at that point).
