when my car was only headers and intake i drove the Camaro from CA to FL then back to CA. With the mods in my sig, i have driven SEVERAL 700+ mile one way trips and not a single problem. Its all about maintenance.
ok i lied. the only issue i had was my ears were ringing a little after my 700+ mile trips with the mods in sig. HAHA. sacrifices

Roadtrips are alot of fun.
Early June I took a trip from Pasadena/LA to Beaumont Texas.
The thing about Arizona as a whole... cops, radar and cameras everywhere... what a nightmare.
Driving through Texas is a humbling experience because the geology is so different in various parts of the state, plus Texas is BIG! It took longer to drive through Texas alone than it took driving through New Mexico, Arizona and California/LA.
One leg of the trip I averaged 30 mpg otherwise I averaged 27mpg throughout the trip. ( all mileage documented and fuel receipts ).
On the way back from Beaumont TX, I drove through Houston, Dallas, Fortworth, Austin and back though west Texas, New Mexico, Arizona back to Crapifornia.
The total trip was about 3600 miles while the trip back alone was about 1700 miles strait non-stop 30 hours only stopping for gas and restroom.
What a great experience it was.

I've only taken one road trip in my car, it was only a 2hr drive to rapid city SD to go hang out and stop by sturgis rally, it was pretty fun but I'm a little scared to do it again. I love my car and it doesn't really give me any issues but I wrecked it that night during a storm and scared the **** outta myself and the 2passengers with me. Once I get my 5.3 in and I go over all the drivetrain I will take a couple trips, just nervous about driving my only car on a long distance trip when it has 216k miles on it already.

lol... you want worry... Try driving 1600 miles in a 3000GT VR4! I live in Florida and had my VR4 shipped to Columbus Ohio to get the turbos, heads and other **** worked on and when it was done, I drove it back. Now you may be thinking, what's the big deal, you just got it fresh out of the ship," but when it comes to a 3000GT, let alone a VR4, **** will ALL WAYS happen 99% of the time, lol... But I am happy to say that I had zero issues with it on the way home; oh and this was a highly modded VR4 with 500hp to all 4 wheels
As for driving LD, I love it; all kinds of things can happen!!! But then again, I want to go back to Iraq cuz I loved the danger it presented while working there
