Question LS6 intake max power

I was wondering how much power can be made on a stock bottom end Heads & Cam with a ls6 Intake. From what i have read most make between 430-460 but i believe that is with a Fast set up.

It all depends on the heads and cam. if you go with a big cam and a high flowing heads you ive heard of people over 500hp.. Oh and btw i see you have a frost tune .. Is it a good tune? I am thinking about getting one

The Ls6 intake won't be the weak link on the setup.

Money is definitely better spent on the cam or heads than on a Fast intake.

If you up the cubes, then it makes more sense to go with the Fast. But stock cube I'd save my money for a while since it's a lot of green for a relatively small gain IMO.

But honestly most people won't make those #'s and then are really disappointed when they read a post like yours

I made I made 417/383 with PRC 5.3's, 230/234 .612/598 cam FAST 90/90, UD pulley, full exhaust and picked up 19/19 when some "touched up" TFS "as cast" heads went on.... This on a 3600 stall A4 tranny...

IMO 410-415 would be a good average for most guys with your mods

OP on a 346 I would think you would be hard pressed to make 450....yes there are surely some bettering that but I am sure it not common.....

I made 436/420 with a stock bottom, TEA 5.3s, smallish cam and LS6 intake. Later made 465/460 with a decent 382 build through the same LS6 intake. They are pretty decent intakes for a factory piece...

yeah, his motor was toast shortlyl after. His car couldn't even run a low 12s ET and faster trap than 110 with that same motor. IIRC.

I want the best of everything but i just was not sure if the cost of the fast was worth it. A 30hp gain is worth it to me. Im gonna go fast 102 i think because i may procharge it later so all i will need to do is change the cam, injectors, and forge the bottom.

Also what would be the best flowing heads. I mean max flow at all lifts. I will be going MS4 or maybe bigger custom cam.

Pick your heads first, then get a cam custom ground (like from Pat G) to suite those heads and the rest of your setup. If you got the money to spend, get some AFRs, if not, some ported and milled 243s will suffice.
