my traction control is not working in my 98 camaro its been that way since i got it. the past owner donsnt know so i need help. when i turn the car on the traction control should already be on but its not and wont come on when i push the button. its not the fuses or the button itself i already tried that.

well mine is stuck on, the switch doesnt do ****, and the ASR OFF light doesnt go off.

how long have you had it? did it work intermittently before? or its always off?

Not to threadjack. But I have the same issue on my 99. after my car was put on the dyno for a smogging and the trac control NOT turned OFF its had problems ever since. If I press on the brakes 3 times and then press the button, it would work after starting up and even engage and disengage. Ive checked most of the connectors on the rear end. Recently, the light is on steady, would rather it WORKS properly. altho would a GM Tech II be able to diagnose the light?

check under the hood where the cruise control and traction control box is and check to see if its unplugged? bet thats the problem...
