There's usually some good deals in the classifieds section of the forum. Good luck...

I don't know if they're a sponsor, but Crate Engine Depot sells complete LS6 engines (minus accessories and intake manifold), with a one year warranty for about $3700. I know you can get them cheaper if you look around, I just like the idea of a brand new one with a warranty if I ever do the swap.

Got mine from them and it was a really good deal and it came with the F-body and Corvette oil pan. Sold the Corvette oil pan for some coin and paid for a few other items.

Yeah they have two part #'s for the same engine....tell them it is for a caddy and it is about 2K cheaper than the vette.... May still have the less expensive part # at work...

When I ordered mine they only had the one, if I remember correctly. It came with both the F-body pan and the corvette pan. It was just the long block. I don't have the part number handy but it wasn't expensive I was quoted more for a replacement LS1 longblock at the local dealer.

This was the one I was looking at. There's a link on that page with a LS1-6 swap faq on their site. To me, it looks like it comes with everything except an intake manifold and accessories, which you can take off of your LS1. I've heard they used to be cheaper, like under $3000, but I guess the recession hit them too.
