Hello guys, I've been bouncing this idea around and trying to weigh out the pros and cons of a turbo lq4 or a big cube stroker (408,427,454) . I have the car apart right now trying to figure out hot pipe routing, I have found that keeping a/c will be extreamly difficult. Kinda would like to keep it to go with all the modern theme of the car and also have creature comforts. I also like the idea of being able to up tune with a turbo ect. Also I have most the stuff for the turbo build except turbo and pipes. But if a ran a stroker with some NItrous i'd be plenty happy too and keep a/c. Any feeback?

Can't really go wrong with either. I guess it would come down to budget for me. I noticed you already have a boosted car in your sig so I for something different a 427 w/a 200 shot would be a beast!

Thats kinda what I was thinking. The 92 Z28 had a Procharged 383 in it and i decided to go with something with a little more drivability so I swapped to a Ls1 with some mods. Now I just want some crazy power. My GTO is fun but I love the lope of a big ol cam. Just want to keep it modern and not take things off the car you know? About the only place I can run a down pipe on the car do I can run a/c is under the K-member and that will have so ground clearance problems.

If you have the equipment, (welder/cutter.. etc) go through the k-member and use some thick pipe inside the k-member to retain strength. That's my plan for my 78 trans am when i start it
