Both are instrumental to the small block heritage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the LT used Smokey Yunick pioneered reverse cooling to bump the compression ratio higher and stave off detonation on junk fuel
but it was still dimensionally the same old mouse
The computer electronics w/ distributorless ign. and sophisticated fuel
injection allowed the long-rod, positive deck(tight quench) LS motors
to run high compression with old school cooling. I think newer is better
but you gotta love both SBC.......FTW
