If you're getting really bad mileage, try changing your front sensors (Get the cheaper Denso's as it's the same exact ones that you would get it if you bought AC Delco's).
I was getting 15-16MPG no matter what driving conditions. I just changed my front O2's and i got almost 100 miles out the first quarter tank (but we all know it's quite more than a 1/4) so it's looking quite good.
The first owner of the car also changed the rear to a 3.73 without changing the PCM. Also, the shift points and converter lockup points are total CRAP. So next on my list is getting, at least, a mail-in tune if the PCM i ordered ever comes in!

12mpg average all city driving... I drive it like I stole it lol not really, but stop and go with a cam sucks for mileage. If I wanted good gas mileage I would have bought a Prius or some bull **** like that.

i've gotten a consitent 14 mpg (city) since i bought this car back in may 2010. its mostly stock except for a SLP lid and SLP cat back exhaust. (2002 Camaro SS LE 46,000 miles)
6-speed with a clutch that sucks, releases real high, but holds well. i try to keep the tire pressure checked.
i knew this thing wouldnt get the greatest milage, but i thought it would do better then 14 mpg.

I had a bad sensor in the past but mpgs weren't affected.

How is everyone getting 20+ mpg in the city with their LSx cars? Did you swap in a Prius motor?
I get 21 - 22 at best on the highway with my car and that's assuming I have the cruise set for almost the entire ride. As for the city, 11 - 14 is reasonable for me with most of those tanks being in the 11 - 12 mpg range.
Running a N2O tune on the street so I understand it's a shade rich however I never saw anything like the high numbers in this thread even when the car was almost bone stock.

Just filled up this morning, averaged a tad over 18MPG all city driving. Recently changed all fluids and ran a Chevron Techron fuel system treatment a fill up or two ago. Definitely did better than expected. Cant wait to hopefully one day take it for a road trip and get over 300 miles on a tank!!
BTW, I ONLY run Shell V-Power in it. M6 car, 110K miles.

I had a 2002 SS M6 12 bolt w/ 4.11 , lid, tune, and it got 27 hwy with cruise on 75. Had a 2001 Formula M6, heads ,cam, bolt ons,4.10 gears and it got 23-24 on the highway. Got a 2001 Z28 A4 w/ 3.23 gears ,bone stock and it gets 25+ with cruise @70. Alot of it is driving style or could be in your tune.

My 99 WS6 got 29 on the way to San Antonio cruising at about 90mph with a couple fun runs, way back I think it was 27.5. In the city, anywhere from 14 to 17mpg. 02 SS got 26.5 doing 100mph whole way to Dallas along with several 140mph runs and 3 people in the car, don't remember what it was the way back. City was about the same as the T/A. The 98 SS with the A4 got pretty bad mpg's, I only put like 200 miles on it but it seemed like I had to put 10 bucks in every time I drove it.
WS6 had exhaust, 12 bolt and intake. 02 SS had exhaust, both 6 spds.

Those numbers sound about average. Ive always questioned those guys claiming to get anywhere near 30+mpg, even on the highway with these cars. Ive owned 3 Fbodies and never gotten better than 26-27 on the highway..My current car with the below mods averages 16-18 with a good mix of highway/city, on a strictly highway trip, it got 22.6 which for having >400rwhp isnt bad at all IMO.
