Default What coolant are yall running?

When i first bought the car i decided against dex cool and flushed the radiator out and have been running green since. Not sure anymore if its better, if it even matters, but there havent been any problems so.. What about yall?

Dexcool has been great for me. I change it out every ~3 years, never had a problem.

Dex cool for me as well. From all the threads on tech it seemed like the people having problems with it were the ones actually trying to run it for 100,000+ miles.

Ive always stuck with Dex Cool since thats what GM calls for but Ive heard of several people switching it to green. And from what I hear nobody's ever had problems with either, just need to be sure you flush out whatever is in there before you switch

I had nothing but good things from dexcool. I honestly dont know why I switched, prolly so I didnt have to keep more then one type of coolant in the shop. Seems silly

It only matters for people that never check or maintain their coolant. Dexcool gets gummy & icky, green stuff doesn't (that I've ever heard of or seen.)

I changed over to green when I replaced my water pump at 97xxx.

Yeah I figured the stuff hadn't been flushed yet when I bought it at 83k. Just figure the green works for everything else why use dex. I had to refill my coolant today which is why I started thinking about it again. Do all the new chevys run dex now?

Same here. Dexcool has been great but you do have to change it. None of this 100k miles stuff. That is insane!

I've never had an issue with Dexcool, but I also change it every other year or 30K miles whichever comes first.

Default Evans coolant here!

If you have any money into your engine ide use Evans coolant (Read up on it!) Its some bad as **** and keeps my twin turbo at 160 all day long in the hot summertime cruisingA bit exspensive though and never needs changed and doesnt mess with your rad or aluminum parts like other will

I have always had dexcool in my camaros. Just flushed out my whole system last summer and it was spotless even before the flush. I put more dexcool in.

Guess i missed this, i havent heard of people having problems with green, but there were certainly some sort of "problems" people were having which brough about the ruckas/lawsuit. Not saying its all true but seems like dex is kinda a failed attempt to make coolant specificaly for aluminum blocks. At the same time tons of people run it still and whatnot & have no problems.

Probably doesnt even matter, seems like mostly the same **** and nothing lasts for ever so your going to have to do radiator flushes every so often anyways. For those running dex still, just decided to keep GM recommendations or what?
