New Engine for 99 WS6
So. Need a rebuild for my TA. But i figured that i might as well get a new engine since i was quoted at $4400 for a rebuild...
I was wondering if all my parts (oil pan, coils, electical harnesses, etc) would swap to the cast iron 6.0L?

Get a forged rotating assembly, bore it out to a 408, heads, and cams...
Looking at $750 block, $2500 rotating assembly, $2600 for a heads/cam packAge...
Am i missing anything? Im looking at Texas speed...new to engine swaps so...
What do you think? Thanks.

Yes They are both Gen III's so everything will swap over... This thread may help >>> https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-l...98-lq9-ls.html

You can get a forged stroked SB for around 4K and do the top how you want it. Just figure it out before you order so you match the heads and have the CR you want. Also consider it will want more air so upgrade lid and MAF (unless going SD), injectors and Maybe the fuel pump too... Then the rest like oil pump, chain, lifters, rockers (if L92's) bolts, gaskets, fluids etc.... it adds up....
