I got my car out of storage a few weeks ago as it got nice & planned on installing my MWC 9 inch rear. Well its April now but winter is still not over here in Michigan, snowed good last week & snowed again today.
So...I will wait some more, maybe this weekend.

Finally gave the Bird some love today. I've been driving my Jeep since Dec, it's been neglected the last few months.

I was going to change the waterpump/hoses/t-stat, but after doing a little more checking, it seems like the pump is fine. Before I did anything I removed the belt and chacked the pulley. It spins freely with no noise, and it doesn't wobble at all, so that tells me the bearings are good.

Put the belt on and let the car run for 45 minutes, no leaks. Checked the coolant, it was full, a nice orange color, and not gunky looking. Let it run on and off for a few hours, no leaks.

It's very wierd, because I had it running a few weeks ago and I swear it was leaking coolant, right from the area of the waterpump. I don't tink it would have fixed itself, but like I said, no leaking today, and full radiator. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

While I was running it, I got out the shop vac and did a thorough vac of the interior and hatch area, then made an attachement with a long hose on the shop vac to suck all the pine needles and stuff from under the hood and on the intake and cowl. I HATE parking it where it sits near trees! It feels good to get that crap out of there. Same thing with the hatch, they accumulate in there and around the rear window, I got all those out too.

Then I wanted to wash it, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so I settled for cleaning the wheels and tires. What a huge difference that makes!!

And I switched the cars around, I'll be taking the Bird home, and the Jeep will be staying here (parents' house) for a while.
