General T-Top maintainence

General T-Top maintainence
It seems like it is a strong likelihood that at some point our t-tops will begin to leak. How can I best prevent this from happening?
While reading an ebay auction at one point, the seller mentioned that the car came with some GM T-top grease. What is this grease and where can I get it? What do you use to maintain your t-tops? My car sits outside year round so I know it will eventually be a problem. thanks!

I use 303 Aerospace to condition the seals/weatherstripping. This works perfectly. My '02 car sits outside 100% of the time, and I take the tops on and off almost every time I drive the car in the summer. Nothing ever leaks, unless you spray the window seal with high pressure at a car wash or something.

I spray silicone lubricant on mine but it stays garaged unless I'm driving it on nice days and haven't had to wash it for a while so not sure how it works to be honest, will have to check it out the next time I wash it

I don't see how taking them on and off would cause any leaks. The doors and windows have weather stripping as well, and opening and closing them doesn't cause any leaks, so I don't see how the t-tops would be any different.

Weather Seals/Strips need to be hydrated properly in order to maintain their uniform shape. 303 protectant is a good UV protectant and is water based therefore it's friendly for the seals and vinyl, unlike the silicone based Armor Al that destroys this kind of stuff.
My next product, based on numerous recommendations from autopia.org and many reputable detailers is this
It comes in a stick form so the application is very easy and perfectly suitable for t-tops use.

I think Armor All has been reformulated since those days. It's not really harmful any longer, but it doesn't offer the same level of protection as 303. Only problem with 303 is trying to find it at local stores these days. I'm probably going to have to order it on line next time I need some.
