Just wondering what some thought are here been looking around and found a 96 LT1 with a 6spd and 50k for the same price I've been looking at 90k LS1 Auto's

ls1 is a better platform to start with there faster out the box and worth more money it all depends on what YOU want. I personally rather have the ls1, but I am biased.

I ended up buying a LS1, but test drove a 95 Trans Am and it was plenty fast for me. I think both look good, but if they are the same money I would go for the LS1 no doubt.

The 95 Trans Am was marked at $7900 at the dealership with 135000 miles on it, had some interior issues, was kinda dirty. I ended up with an 02 WS6 with 56K miles in amazing condition (like new), ended up paying 13,500 for it.

I found out they let the '95 TA go for $3999 later on. If I'd known that I could have paid cash instead of having a payment each month. I would probably ended up with the '95 because I just wanted a fun car, not really a daily driver.

In the end, I am happy with the 02 WS6, quite frankly it is my dream car and it gets a ton of attention. For the same money, go for the LS1!

even thou the miles are higher on the ls1 and the lt1 had a six speed you guys would still take the ls1?

yeah. id probably go ls1. i used to own an lt1 car. theyre fun starters, the ls1 is a car that easily gets more power with small mods, and the technology is way newer. the lt1's are a slightly modified version of the gen 1 small blocks. the decision is on you. you wont regret getting either. i prefer the ls1, its a great power house. not to mention the aftermarket for ls vs. lt cars is bigger, and still growing.
