Read a few other threads here that discussed the issue of only getting one horn beep instead of two when arming. Seems there is nothing to be concerned about, but I am just curious why after owning my '98 for over a year it suddenly only one horn beep. Anyone know why this happens, and should I look for a fix?

Check trunk, doors and lights, with my car I would get 1 beep if something was left on or open.

BINGO! This happened to by the other day and I was so confused. Then I found out my trunk wasn't closed all the way.

Haha, reclosed the hatch and problem solved. Funny thing is it was locked tight, and there was not indication on the dash....if we even have one. Lesson learned...
