Default Advice on an inexpensive oil cooler

Has anyone been able to install an engine oil cooler kit for around $100 or less? If so, where did you buy it, and do you have any advice for the install?

I use the biggest Hayden that Pep Boys had, and
I think it was under $40. Mine is mounted horizontal
(sort of "Dope style") to keep it off the radiator. I
think I posted pics but don't remember how long ago.

You might find more action in the Road Race section
where that kind of piece is more popular.

I picked up a truck oil cooler block with the idea of
using it to add engine oil cooling. All the LSX blocks,
I gather, have the passages and can swap it on.
Never did get around to it though. If I didn't have
one of those I'd think about a thermostatic sandwich
adaptor instead and maybe remote mount the filter
too while I was at it.
