Default Burnout Methods?!

Auto's and Sticks welcome..

what method do you use for your burnouts/brakestands!! Such as brakes first then gas, or hard gas then brakes? what rpms brake your tires lose, what gear, how high you go in the rpm range?

Step on the break and mash the gas!

I am just about out of the whole burnout phase and I dont feel like replacing the 10 bolt. On my old auto I would brake it and launch, 6 speed dump it.

thats what i do:

my 02 z06 - 1st or 2nd gear, rev to 3 grand with clutch engaged... Dump the clutch and put my right foot at the brake.

my 98 t/a A4- simple brake stand... Never neutral to drive drop, fk that!

back when i had my 03 maxima 6 speed, FWD- 1st gear with clutch engaged, rev to 3K, dump the clutch with ebrake engaged.

and unless its raining out, forget about buring tires with an A4 4cyl subcompact under 150hp lol

In autos i like to either rev it up to 3000 and put it into drive, or go in reverse about 5 or 10mph, drop to drive and step on it. Really worked well on my '09 explorer

holy!! works great and fun but way hard on transmissions

with an M6 i usually take it to about 2500-3000 rpm and then dump the clutch, stab the gas, and feather the brake

Why do you start in 2nd instead of first? To prevent shifting to 2nd later?

I step on the break and mash the gas like ws6fitz said lol. I never seen a M6 burnout, so clueless on how you guys do that, bet it's sick though. I did like two burnouts with my SS since I just got it, but in my old V6, I was the MASTER. A few people told me it was better to shift from 1st all the way up but that's a gimmick imo, tried it a few times and just regular D is good enough.

Line lock the a4, bring it into second gear and let them melt.

I usually do a 3k clutch dump in first and go.

I TRIED a 2nd gear standing burnout last night since the clutch I have now can handle it(tried it with stock clutch and just spun the clutch)

...all I can say is I almost died hahaha my foot never made it to the brake pedal cuz the car instantly went sideways and I was facing a guard rail didnt matter what way the front wheels were pointed hahaha . ...Goddamn solid axles... I had a mild heart attack

before my linelock, i would gas it enough to break the tires loose then hold the brakes down just enough to hold the car still but keep the tires spinning
