Hello everyone. This is my first ls1 and I have the shortblock 383 together and I am getting ready to put the timing set on and theres a problem. If I line up the keyway when the piston is at the top of the deck then then the key is about 3 o clock. But then on the timing marks it's not zeroed out like it should be if it was at 12 o clock position. So do adjust the timing gear so at 3 o clock position it zeroes out? Any help is greatly appreciated
