Mine has 219k and runs great. Any car can last a long time if taken care of.

I would take a well maintained high milage LS1 over a low milage one that was constantly beat on and not maintained...

100K isnt anything that would scare me though.

Now, my car isn't considered high mileage as it was delivered to me with 67,510 miles on it and now it has like 67,89x miles on it. The interior is very clean, the paint is in I'd say pretty fair condition but the previous owner really neglected it. Basically all of my exhaust components need to be replaced since they're rusted to crap, the tires are slightly dry rotted, it has tree sap baked into certain spots on the windsheild/rear hatch/t-top's that I can't get out, the rear tailight is cracked so it gets a ton of condensation in it, and a few other issues I'm missing here I'm sure.

With all that said, I absolutely love my car, it's not in bad shape but it could have been much better. Knowing what I know now, if there were an SS or Z28 for the same price as I got my car for with more mileage but it had been taken care of all of it's life, I would have bought that one instead of mines. Inspect the car closely, look it over good, find any problems or issues it may have, miles only mean so much.... because you can still buy something with issues without a ton of miles, my car being an example, that's for sure. Just my .02....

131K here, runs like a top, burns and leaks NO oil. Has typical piston slap when cold and a little valvetrain noise but nothing to worry about. Ive only had to replace a leaky water pump recently.

All depends on the previous owner/owners and how they took care of it. Engines will take a lot of abuse if well taken care of and maintenance is done regularly.

Mine had 97k on it when I bought it and it was obviously neglected (who the hell carries hay in these cars anyway). Anyway, I cleaned everything up and changed all the fluids. Never missed a beat. I put a pretty aggressive cam in at about 120K. It's got about 135k on it now and still runs plenty strong.

100k miles is no where near high milage for lsx cars, as long as they were taken care of and well maintained.

When I first read the part about the hay, I busted out laughing. I still get a kick when I read that. I wonder why they hauled it.

Condition is the key & buying a 100k+ Fbody can be a good buy. It mostly depends on whose hands the car was in before. When I was looking I wanted something in the area of 75k to stay in the ballpark of price but I didnt want a project car so it had to be clean. The first car I found was a 2000 SS A4(wanted an M6) with 87,000 on it. You could tell a kid owned the car, tinted tails, missing the factory hood, diffferent engine, car looked kinda ok but it wasnt a real clean car & been through a lot. So the car I bought was clean, very nice shape, but it had 110,000 on it. You really couldnt tell it had that mileage because the car had been taken care of, not a spec of rust on the body or fuel/ brake lines so its obvious the car hasnt been driven in the winter. Look it over real good before buying, that will tell you a lot.

I'm at 118,000 and running strong. Its had enough nitrous ran through it to blow up a small country. Gonna swap the oil pump and timing chain out and throw a Torquer 2 in before long. I wouldn't worry about 100k.

I got mine with 109k miles 2 years ago in May. Im at 128k right now, and its been very reliable. Runs strong and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.
