Hello all, I have a 98 Z28 with a dead motor and looking to replace it. There is a local LS1 for sale for $2,000 with 50,000 miles pulled from a wrecked 2001 Corvette with no accessories.
1. Is that a good price
2. Will my 98 accessories bolt right on
3. will my 98 ECM and wire harness work as well
4. Is there anything that I am missing for a direct replacement
Thanks!

The price seems to be not to bad, not that great. I think it all should bolt up but you would have to possibly use your current intake system or do what is needed to get rid of the EGR system 01 & 02's don't have an EGR on the LS6 intake. You may have to have it tuned since the cams would not be the same. I am not an expert just my opinion.

You will have to change out the harmonic balancer/pulley because they are different than the F body, you will also have to use your sensors and stuff because they changed styles in late 99. I think you have a good deal going because you are getting a stronger motor.

So all accessories should bolt right on, and I can use my wiring harness? I am trying to figure out the easiest way with out having to convert this and replace that. LQ4\LQ9 6.0 sounds good to me. Thanks for the info!
