I have been looking into the vengeance racing heads/cam 575 kit. I believe its 2700. I saw one dyno graph for 460rwh.

so everybody seems to agree on h/c, wouldent you get more hp out of a vortech and be more reliable? i def think all motor is badass but do you guys think itd be "the best bang for the buck"?

If done right it probable would, but I just don't see how you can do a safe reliable F/I setup with $2500 if you factor in all the supporting mods that you will need even if you buy the s/c used.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...induction.html

Generally its a lot cheaper to go h/c then it is forced induction while keeping the same level of reliability. Having a high HP s/c'ed car is a lot more complicated then just bolting the s/c on and turning the boost up.

Also I think a used vortech + install is going to run more than $2500 unless the vortech is near toasted or you are doing the install yourself, which isn't always as easy as it seems.

Also remember S/C can really heat things up under the hood temp wise, melt wires/etc

Gluck with whatever you choose You could always get the H/C now as recommended and the next time you have some spare cash do the S/C and have all the supporting stuff done, instead of having to do it backward.

Hmm... With $2,500... I'd prob. do a cam/n2o/drag radial/suspension setup.

Get that power down to the ground!

hmmm $2500..... get yourself a rear end. Everything else mentioned is great, but good luck enjoying the power when the stock 10 bolt breaks.

I would think you are almost at the point of needing a rear end.

I would buy 2500 dollars worth of silver.

That way next year you can cash in and be able to build a whole new motor.

+1 for the rear end.

Build your drivetrain then never worry about it again. Add power periodically after that. That H/C package may seem tempting but when you do all that work and then blow your rear end your car will be down a while and you have around 3 grand of unforeseen expenses.
