I like 4th gens the best followed by the first gen.

Order of preference for me:
4th
1st
3rd (91-92 z28 anyways)
5th
2nd

My f-body days started with a 1988 Sport Coupe with a 305...it ended up with a 350, but I had no idea what I was doing and it was slow. If I still had it I'm sure it would be fast lol.

I think my favorite 4th gen would be either a LT1 WS6 or a LT1 SS. I think they look a lot meaner than the LS1 cars. I still loved my LS1 formula, but I needed a more practical car so I sold it and got the TA and a accord.

4th Gen,weight performance and value>>>> all other Gens.

98-2002 LS1's even more so.

BTW I have owned (2) 2nd Gens, (2) 3rd Gens and (5) 4th Gens

I currently have (2) 4th Gens.

The 5th Gen is a tank weight wise.

You sold your 5th generation?! Why? I think the looks of the 5th gen. are awesome! Was it not fast enough? What did you get instead of it?

More of a Luxury car like i said !!!!U dont feel the HP and it had 506HP w/ bolt-ons but too heavy !!Got a 08 Vette which almost has the same HP but 600lbs lighter! Just did not feel right and to get it as fast as the Vette i would have to Supercharge it and would have had to spend $10,000 more to get it were i want it.

4th Gen, has great looks and performance, followed by:
1st
2nd
3rd
5th

5th had so much potential, I'm sure they're nice inside and can be made very fast, but I think a 4th gen with the same engine will always be faster. It's an expensive, heavy tank aimed at a different crowd

turd gen. I had an 82 berlinetta when I was 18. 350 4spd 3.42s ttop. iroc hood big n little slots 3inch flowmaster with cowboy pipes. I miss it, I'd love to build another with an lsx/6speed.

98-02 best bang for the buck.

1st gen awesome cars but now out of my reach.

2nd gen awesome cars but most of them in mo look like they been sittin in the lake for 30+ years.

I owned a 94z lt1 never again. Next time its gonna be a 98+ with a '94 nose ha ha

5th dosen't appeal to me.

So yeah, 3rd gen (with mods)

well with this forum being ls1 tech I would expect 4th gen to run away with this poll lol

with the purchase of my 00z I have owned 1 first gen ( hugger orange ss clone w/454/t40/12 bolt 4.56)

too many 2nd gen z28's & TA's to count back in the 80's & 90's

a couple 3rd gen's

and this 4th gen:

I also recently purchased a 2nd gen which is my favorite body style:

the 2nd gen has a mystery motor that is supposed to be a 400 which I never had good luck with holding together so I am trying to decide how my cheap **** is going to power it , I would love to go LSX of some sort but I am not ready to rule out sbc or bbc its all going to depend what falls in my lap....

so I guess the cliff notes version is I would like to vote for 2nd gen with 4th gen power
