Would be like 240 to 260 city with a ton of messing around. I can't remember how far I got to a tank highway but my trans am got 29mpg with two 140mph runs the one time I calculated it. Also that's cruising at 90 to 100mph.

My 35th SS was about the same, got 25/26 or so with several 140 runs and 4 people in the car going to Dallas when I calculated it.

Now my 98 auto SS got TERRIBLE mpg. I never calculated it but I would throw down $20 every time I drove it, was ridiculous.

Funny part is out of all the vehicles I have had, the ram 3500 dually got the best city MPG in the 20's lol..

Filled it up today at 270 miles, was a hair below 1/8 tank. Took 12.1 gallons to fill, so I got 22.3 mpg this last tank.

I used to consistantly get about 1 mpg better for the same driving, I'm not sure why the change this past year. Kind of annoying.

I get 30-31 if its ONLY highway with my camaro M6, its not hard to do at all.

And its not accurate to compare miles per tank because its impossible to use a full take of gas, if you do you would run out. With that said everyone fills up at different points and might go longer with their low fuel light on. So its really better to compare MPG's.

Everyone keeps pointing out that a full tank is different since everyone fills up at different points. I get that, I guess I worded the thread wrong. If I was motivated enough I would find a way to change the name of the thread.

Default Highway only

ONLY MODS= Lid, and 2 12" subwoofers in trunk (100lbs). Roof Off. My 175lbs

Otherwise stock hawk.

75-80mph on 80 degree day, no AC on.

Tanked up full 93, drove 346miles, all highway NC -> NY.

Next fill was 12.5gallons (bout 1/8th tank left) = 27.7mpg.

No playing around with her, just cruising. 3.42 gears, Brand new tires (DWS).

I dunno how the hell people are getting 30+mpg but i smell BS. 7 f-bodys and this is the best i have managed. Good Luck!

And just to throw it in there, the chase car got 38.9mpg to and from. 2011 Sonata GLS Auto. Best investment i have made in all my years.

Considering the Bird is over double the displacement, 40% more power, and 11 years older i think she did damn well. :-)

my old nbm 98 formula 226/226 LS1 intake 6 speed averaged 23.5 over 2 years and my silver 98 formula auto, completely stock, oops, forgot about the flowmaster, avg'd 25 but HONESTLY got 33 on a trip from adams county, ohio to Outer Banks, NC. I know it sounds stupid but it's true. I let my parents drive it with my two younger brothers in the back seat PLUS they had about 200 lbs of luggage in the trunk! Dad laid down 430+ miles with his first tank.
I was proud and disgusted at the same time because me, the ex and our 3 girls were behind the formy the whole way with no a/c and getting more like 25 mpg in a wore out and overheating intrepid.
I was glad my parents were confortable and in luxury, but, man it was hard to watch and listen to such a sweet ride for 11 hours rather than be the one driving it! Given the chance to do it again, I would though. Well, maybe I would have rented a car for me and the family and left the junk Dodge at home. The only thing that thing ever dodged was performing, well and good looks. I forgot about being reliable. But that's a story for another day.
