I left it out for a year or so but decided to toss it back in. Just pull it for the track now.

I don't have my spare in, but not because of "weight savings". It's been out for several months from the last time i had a flat and i have just straight forgot about putting it back in lol. Now that i remember it im probably gonna have a flat the next time i drive it lol.

I daily drive my SS, so I keep my spare and jack with me. I dont pull if at the track either, cause when crusing on the street, I dont look at the guy sitting next to me at the light and say, "Hey, wait a minute while I pull my spare, jack, back seat, belt, and air filter", lol. Eric L

Nope. When I bought the car it was already gone. I woulda tossed it anyway.

I have enough thirdgen/fourth gen wheels/tires around my house I can have a buddy or family member run one out with a jack.

If I ever went on a long trip Id bring a wheel/tire/jack with me just in case.

I don't like the idea of being at the mercy of some reckless tow company to come and help me when they decide to get there; waiting is for waiters in restaurants. I also don't want to impose on my friends when I have something as trivial as a flat tire to take care of. If I'm swapping out heads, cam, rack and pinion, whatever-then I'll call my friends for help. But a flat tire? What are we, chicks?

No spare/jack for me. It's not my DD so I don't need it ever. Besides that area is filled with a certain 10lb bottle...

I keep it in there but I doubt I would ever use it. I would probably just call AAA. If they were too busy or really far away, I guess I might use it and 'limp' my way to the nearest tire dealer.

I can't believe how many people drive around with no spare. I'm sure you really notice that 40 lb weight savings on the street. The free towing excuse is ridiculous also. Enjoy waiting for a tow truck, hoping they don't damage your car and then submitting the bill to your insurance for reimbursement...I'll opt to throw on the spare and be on my way in 10 min.

No spare here. What would weight reduction be with a spare tire in the back?!Its not a commuter car so I dont worry about that.
