Mine shifts at alot slower speed. I know it right around the 2 grand mark, so right when when its about to shift I let off the gas let it shift into 2nd and go. Does not do it at all at WOT for some reason though. There are alot of little things wrong with my car but for a $2500 LS1 Z28 oh well I'll live with it.

In bumper to bumper it can be a pain because it's very hard to push the car forward in first gear. There's a very "tense" feeling in the powertrain like the transmission is resisting the engine, then the 1-2 shift if you're just barely on the gas is a slam into 2nd.

I could be wrong about what they're talking about.. but this is what I observe in mine with an A4.

Currently I have two 4L60E LS1 cars, one with 16k miles ('98) and one with 101k miles ('02); neither one does what you guys have described (at least not that I have noticed, and I tend to notice most things). Have you checked your fluid level and color/condition?

Slow *** windows. My car has a bad issue with the front end as my steering wheel shakes bad above 60. My dash got its first crack a few weeks ago but since it has 144k miles I understand. I wish the air conditioning was stronger, at least it works lol. Other than that I've been okay. No engine mods yet, looking forward to it but it seems so cramped in there Haha.

Every negative here is just normal GM crap. The cheap plastic interior is normal and has been since the 60's - take a look at a 68 Camaro the interior is CHEAP plastic crap. I test drove an 85 Z-28 and the seat belt broke while I was putting it on. These new engines are amazing but the cars and trucks they are installed into are still ????

I actually did a flush and filter change on the trans about 4K miles ago, it eased up the hard shift, but it is still very apparent that it is there, fluid is still bright red.

my only complaint, other than the stupid paint chip on my hood.. SKIP Shift other than that I don't seem to have the problems others are talking about with noise and stuff like that, my car is quiet and interior has held up pretty well for being 12 years old

Good thing is, due to the weight of our cars we don't need to keep up in the HP. You can easily stay 50-75HP behind and run with, if not beat a lot of the newer cars.

My car: 3,440 lbs
2010 Camaro SS: 3,850 lbs (approx)

I'm pretty sure I could hang with an auto SS if I had just a few more bolt ons.

So many gripes about the 10 bolt. I've never broken one. My current car has 125k miles on a stock rear, and a lot of 1.50 60's and doesn't make a peep.

wtf are you talking about? I have a 71 Nova and it has the original dash pad that is not cracked. only thing broke in the interior in the levers for the hvac and thats only because the cables have never been lubed and bound up. the thing has never been taken care of, yet the interior has still held up with the only rear wear being the drivers door arm rest.

I prefer the red. red is the color of aggression and make the car feel more sporty IMO

slow window motors
Tranny
Rides bad but I'm pretty sure they all do so i dont mind, just alot of weird noises going on underneath.
Brakes

Other than that really cant complain. I dont mind the interior even though its all plastic. The passenger seat sucks but as long as I'm not in it i dont care.

Mine isn't cracked either. Like yours, the only real wear in my '71s interior is the driver's arm rest (though the front bench was recovered at some point). Even my HVAC controls are fine....40 years, 77k miles and counting.
