Why does everyone hate convertibles?

Exactly... I built my last car for the strip and never even went. I will be with this one but not very often. It is so much nicer in every single way than my t top car in my opinion. And it does make backseat fun a whole lot easier Here is mine, I do think there are a lot of bad examples out there. But like I said there are those of us that rarely see the track and just cruise
see ya friday lol

I like my convertible but I also like my brother's hardtop camaro. Both are different but mine is getting more stable as I have a Wolfe roll bar and the UMI 3 point subframe connectors in the car. I also like my vert because from early spring to late fall the top is almost always down. Main thing I don't like about the car is if I do an engine swap in it I will have those strict NHRA rules to go by...but I doubt I ever take my camaro to the track since I have plenty of storage room for a track only vehicle if I want to get one.

Just not my thing. I had a Jeep and hated the windtunel feeling. There really just arent any cars I like in verts other than cars such as the 65 Cobras, 1st gen firebirds and 70-71 Cudas. I really dont even like t-tops but I like firebirds and almost all were t-top. I prefer a removable hardtop like some of the 68 vettes

I had a 1995 Z28 convert with only 50K miles and the chassis flex was crazy! It would shake and flutter over every little bump. The stiffness of my T-top car is 10x better than the convertible. I installed weld-in subframe connectors on the convert but it still had a lot more body flex than my t-top car. I did not like the way it rode. The top leaked too. However I did like the way it looked and it was fun when the top was down, but it was too hot to have top down most of the summer here. I could comfortably cruise with the top down for maybe 2 months out of the year here. I was surprised by how quiet it was inside with no wind noise with the top up.

...That's because convertibles should only have their tops up if it's raining, snowing, etc. They're meant to look bad with the top up. It's like the car's saying: look at the panzy *** moron who paid thousands more dollars to buy a convertible, only to leave the top up while driving...

I own both a 96 Formula Converitble LT1/A4 with the really rare red/black leather combo (1 of 274). It's super nice, formerly owned by the family mechanic. About 32K miles on it last time I checked. Really nice car to drive around in the summer. Loved this car to death before I got my t-top WS6 and now I like the WS6 more. Still, nothing beats crusing around in a nice convertible in the summer. Wouldn't mind owning a 4th gen LS1 vert now that I think of it...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my convertible. I'm so happy I got it.
When I get in a T-Top F-Body, I feel crapped. Plus T-tops are a pain in the *** compared to the convertible...I'm down in 10 seconds, all from the comfort of my seat.
